What The Freak?

I' have just been reminded that my daughter and I are definitely still on the same poop schedule. While doing my bizness upstairs she decided to take her dipe off downstairs. I come downstairs, after I dropped the other kids off at the pool, and I see my dear daughter is naked on the couch-I also smell poop. I go to the kitchen to see if she made a deposit in the potty and Yay she did! I walk in and say, "yay babe you did it again, great job!" But she then points to her baby brother on the floor who has just stuck his little index finger in another smaller pile. I reach him just after he sticks it in the pie hole. LITTLE DUDE WTF! Poop-1, Momma-0. I have nothing else to say.

Super N Silliness
You don't have to watch the whole video but the first minute is a riot! Don't mind the mess we were getting ready to put our house on the market so things were everywhere. Oh and I have no idea what she said after she whacked herself.

Wardrobe Wednesday
My sweet gal Super N. She's sportin her Baby Lulu dress. I adore these flower print little dresses on her! I usually can get them really inexpensively on ebay, around $10. It's difficult to see but it has a little felt flower on the right side of the dress.

Baby J 9.5 months
Baby J is now 9.5 months. He's crawling all over the place. My other two babes didn't start until around the age of 1-this is new for all of us! And he's also waving. This may sound dumb but honestly I didn't know 9 month old babies could wave, that they were capable. He also repeats sounds that you say. If we say "da da da da" he'll say it. He'll also say "ma ma ma ma" and "ba ba ba ba". Tonight I said to him "no no no no" and he said "na na na na". He also does this funny thing where he'll scrunch his upper lip up to his nose and then inhale through his nose and then we'll laugh and it makes him sniff louder and then we'll both laugh together. He's really a cutie, we're lovin him.
I just bought a new baby carrier today so I can keep him close while the other babes play about. I already have a Sleepy Wrap a Hip Hammock and a Snugli. I know, I know! Why the hell did I buy another one?! I wanted something that didn't completley tie the babe to me but instead allowed us both a bit more freedom unlike the Sleepy Wrap (although I plan to use it to carry the other babes on my back or the Huz's back when we're out as a family). The Hip Hammock doesn't necessarily tie the baby to me but it's a carrier that I can't use really at all b/c when Baby J is in it the strap on it digs into my neck and it's not very supportive to my back after even just a few minutes. I've really not used the Snugli too much with any of the kids. I was out with W taking a walk when he was a babe and I almost fell b/c I couldn't see my feet and I felt awkward with it on. The baby carriers I was considering were the Hotsling or the Poppy Pouch (silly ass names I know.) I went to a local store today, Sprout Soup, and tried on a bunch of wraps and slings. I ended up loving the Scootababy Carrier. It's kind of funny b/c I was not at all interested in it but the lady helping me told me it was her favorite so I thought I'd give it a go. I wore that sucker around the store, with Baby J in if for almost an hour! They have awesome things there so of course I had to look around. The Scootababy is incredibly comfortable and I felt that Baby J was totally secure and although I had some slight pain in my hips, I don't recall my back hurting at all! I'm excited to take the kids out and about more now since I found a comfortable carrier that frees me so I can sprint across the room in enough time to save Super N from certain death.
Speaking of Super N... she's almost 2.5. She just ate a pb & j can you tell? What a fun, polite and sassy litte girl! She is talking so much now and asks questions. I just filled out paperwork for her to start preschool next August. She'll go two days a week and I know she'll love it.
Oh my gosh this kid is talking so much now! He is incredibly inquisitive and full of imagination. He really loves preschool and although sometimes he gets sad when I drop him off, b/c he doesn't want me to leave, he seems to recover pretty quickly and jumps right in.
I had a conference with his teacher a few months ago and she mentioned he was an excellent artist. That's my kid! He also doesn't transition well and gets timeout for talking...yeah that's my kid too! It's so cool to see this in him since art is such a love of mine! But more b/c he truly seems happy when he's drawing or playing with playdoh or doing someother craft. He will turn 4 soon, I can't believe it!

My Little Preschooler
W starts Preschool next Tuesday. He was supposed to start tomorrow morning but the teacher asked if I would mind he instead start next Tuesday b/c their class has 20 kids and she's afraid if they all come the first day it will be too overwhelming. So W and 9 other students will show up next Tuesday and the other 10 will show up tomorrow. Then his preschool class will officially start with all of his classmates in attendance next Thursday.
I started off the summer unsure if he'd be able to attend school since we were just in the beginning stages of potty training but he's done really well. It wasn't until two weeks ago that I felt confident that he could attend, I'm very grateful. I know he'll love it and I'm very excited for him. I do wonder if I'll cry after I walk him to class and process through what's happening- my baby is starting school and will be there for the next 15 or so years! Life is changing every day and my babes are growing. Super N is talking a lot more now, W is starting school, Baby J is cooing and smiling and kicking and just generally more content. Time moves so fast even though a day feels very long in this season of life.

Super N's 2nd Birthday

Super N turned 2 on August 9th. We threw a little party for her with grandparents, great grandparents and some neighbors. It was fun and although my dad didn't get to the bakery in time to request his angel cake for her, they both were happy with the Tinkerbell cake.
Ahh the age of 2...have I ever mentioned I hate this age? I'm serious. Extreme I know but anyone that has a two year old can understand my feelings I think.
When Super N turned 2 it was exactly like another being invaded her little body and replaced her with a screaming, tantrum throwing, uncontrollable little kid. Okay that's extreme it's not like she hasn't thrown tantrums before but these "new" tantrums are crazy. She's just so moody and you can tell she's trying to communicate but is so frustrated b/c she can't get out what she wants to say. W was the same way I remember. It was rough when he turned 2 as well. Over that year though as he learned how to communicate and I guess felt more understood he settled down a bit. We feel bad for Super N right now b/c she's not getting much sympathy, we're beat. Baby J has reverted back to waking up a couple times a night or sometimes just once but it's difficult to function with two toddlers and a 5 month old when your house is is disarray and you're just plain tired.
Oh yes my house is in disarray. In terms of change, I always try to remind myself that "things" always seem to get worse before they get better and this I'm finding is true as well when trying to prepare your house to be put on the market. Maybe though it's just me and my addiction to chaos or maybe it's actually true. Regardless my house is in a state of messiness that's just gross!
More on the house stuff in the next post perhaps...

Super N Is Officially Crawling

Super N is crawling now. She is starting to just go, go, go! She is very independent and it's almost as if a bubble appeared over her head and in it were the words "I'm so bored I've got to move around this joint and get to my toys before my brother does!"
As Super N's starting to change a lot more, I'm finding myself very excited. I'm excited mostly to see her and W playing together and talking together. I anticipate next summer will be a lot of fun. I plan to get a membership to a pool and take the kids a lot during the week. The little kids are such a blessing!

Super N's cannonball
Super N is fearless. today she scared me and her daddy to death. i sat nora on her changing table/laundry room counter and held her leg while i leaned over and looked for a shirt for her in a laundry basket. I got distracted by will who was behind me and i must have taken my hand off of norals leg b/c the next thing i see is nor hitting the floor in a cannonball position. It was very loud and there was lots of screaming. I was scared to death that she was going to die so i ran immediately to the phone and called an ambulance/paramedics to check her out. before they arrived Super N had stopped crying (which frightened me even more) and was very calm. the paramedics didn't seem the least bit rattled and said she looked fine and they inspected her and said she seemed fine. i was just encouraged to watch her for and make sure there were no unusual behaviors.
forunately she's okay. as you can see from the picture she has a scratched up face and forehead and rug burn but overall nothing major...thanks God.

Super N 10.25 months

Super N is a silly baby. A different silly than W at this age though. She is more laid back it seems but very fearless. We often forget we can't leave her just sitting on the couch to play or we'll return just in time to see her flying through the air. She is often touching down on the floor or in some instances on the coffee table. She fortunately takes her injuries like a NFL player, brushes herself off and gets right back up!
I'm starting to plan her 1st birthday party and her daddy and i are trying to figure out "What do you buy a 1 year-old little girl?!". So the next few months should be fun.

finally playing together

She is getting more mobile and trying to crawl now, making lots of expressions and laughing so much! She is really a great baby. I can't believe she's growing so fast!
W is awesome as well. His vocabulary has increased so much. He likes to say "hi" to everyone over & over again. He seems to be very social.
In the winter they'll both have so much fun playing together, which makes me happy since we'll be stuck inside a lot we can all entertain eachother.
